What’s the best way to get around Lima?

There are many buses you can use to explore Lima, including the modern, express Metropolitano buses which have their own bus lane and highly efficient services. As well as these, there are mini buses which you can flag down at any point to catch a ride, but these tend to be very overcrowded. There is also currently one metro line, with a second under construction. Taxis are also a viable option to get around, but if your driver doesn’t want to use the meter, make sure you agree a price before you get in.
